Lots going on the shop, but this Aston is just too great.
It’s a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage, chassis DB6/2489/R, that sold for £131,420 to China at the Bonhams Harrogate Sale at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Bonhams described it: “DB6 Vantage chassis number ‘2489/R’ is currently owned by a garage proprietor living in the far north of Scotland, who had looked after the Aston for its previous owner. In the vendor’s possession since 1982, the car has not been used since the 1990s and is presented in ‘barn find’ condition, requiring full restoration. Its accompanying original instruction book contains hand-written notes listing servicing and refurbishment carried out during the late 1970s/early 1980s, recording the total mileage on 23rd June 1981 as 82,057. The current odometer reading is 88,613 miles. Sold strictly as viewed, this exciting DB6 Vantage restoration project is offered with old-style logbook and Swansea V5 document.”
