The last time we posted about the 1969 Jaguar E-Type restoration it was in baremetal under summer sunshine at Porter’s Garage.
Since then the steady progress of assembly has turned a tub into a E-Type. Here a few pictures of the 2015 progress. The color has been changed from Primrose to Gunmetal Grey and the red leather interior from BAS will be very striking once installed.

Here are some pictures of our finished E-Type project, the Italian Job which was ordered new from Italy.
Quite pleased with the result. It respects the original, out-of-the-box appearance which is quite enough bling for us.
Our client’s 1969 FHC is coming along nicely, the body was manually stripped and Todd from Fox Customs carefully touched up the tight areas with media blasting.
Todd also removed the lead which gave us a unique inside look into the real joints that lie beneath. The results are posted.
Also included is some of the expoy primer in red which was the original hue that jaguar used on this particular car.
