The sole Aston Martin DP215 made for the 1963 Le Mans will be up for public auction in Monterey.
This car has been seen very little in recent times, only making an appearance during the parade laps at the 2006 Goodwood Revival.

Yesterday RM Sotheby’s sold this fantastic triple-black XKE for $235,200USD at their ICONs sale in New York City.
This particular example, 1E 13575 started out as a low-mileage, rust free, California survivor.
It was completed by Shaun Saunders in Scottsdale, Arizona who is known for his meticulous dry builds. If I could critique one aspect it would be the over-polished intake manifold and carburetor setup.
The $235,200USD was probably a supreme disappointment in New York. A very similar car, known as the Black Beauty sold for $467,500 at the same sale in 2013.
This 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 was first displayed at the 1955 Earls Court Motor Show in the colors of Florida Green over Old English White, with Florida Green interior trim and upholstery.
Recently it has been restored and Bonhams have the distinction of offering for sale at their Goodwood Festival of Speed sale on June 30th.

“Despite its immaculate outward appearance, this 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 would not have always appeared so at ease on the concours lawn. Originally created as one of the show cars for the 1955 Earls Court Motor Show – in customer-attracting Florida Green over Old English White, with Florida Green interior trim and upholstery – TAC 787 was re-discovered in a pretty sorry state.
The owner, Steve Norton of Austin-Healey specialists Cape International, has devoted years to amassing information, researching provenance and restoring the car which will be offered at Bonhams Festival of Speed sale at Goodwood on 30 June.
For the first decade of its life, the car’s travels and service history were meticulously documented, and receipts detailing every oil change, engine overhaul and clutch assembly accompany the lot. Images of ‘TAC 787’ at Lake Garda in Italy illustrate that the car enjoyed Continental tours during the early 1960s before being sold, via the classifieds in The Times newspaper, to a gentleman in Woking.

Today Gooding and Company anounced this 1957 Jaguar XKSS, one of only 16 surviving examples.
The estimate is at $16,000,000 – $18,000,000USD which would make it one of the most expensive British cars in the world.
This car, chassis XKSS-716 was also originally delivered to Stanley C. McRobert of Montreal who raced it in Canada until 1961.
Gooding and Company describe the car: “This particular XKSS possesses a relatively long and successful competition history, with excellent results and no record of serious incident during its career. It has a continuous, well-documented provenance that counts respected collectors among its former owners. It has also proven reliable in numerous vintage races and long-distance tours, yet remains in fundamentally original order six decades after it was built. Its recent restoration was conducted by one of the leading marque specialists, whose expertise and experience has ensured that its performance is no less impressive than its appearance.”
